Terms of Use

The ground rules for using pupvoice.com — short, fair, and in plain English.

Last updated: August 4, 2026 • Applies to pupvoice.com

The short version

  • Read, share, and enjoy — that’s what the site is for. Just don’t scrape it, abuse it, or republish our work as yours.
  • Stories you submit stay yours — you give us permission to publish and edit them.
  • Our content is journalism, not veterinary or professional advice.
  • We work hard on accuracy, but the site is provided “as is.”

1. Agreement to these terms

By visiting or using pupvoice.com, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our privacy policy. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site.

2. Who we are

PupVoice is an independent dog news and advocacy publication. You can reach us anytime through our contact page or at hello@pupvoice.com.

3. Using the site

You’re welcome to read, share links to our stories, and print pages for personal use. In return, you agree not to:

  • Use the site for anything unlawful, or to harm or harass anyone
  • Spam our forms, submit false stories, or impersonate someone else
  • Interfere with the site’s security or operation
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download our content — including for training AI systems — without our written permission

We may block access that abuses the site or its forms.

4. Our content and trademarks

Everything we publish — text, illustrations, photos we own or license, the PupVoice name and logo, and the design of the site — belongs to PupVoice or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law.

Sharing a link, or quoting a short excerpt with credit and a link back, is fine — encouraged, even. Republishing whole stories or photos without permission is not. If you’re a rescue or shelter featured in one of our stories and want to reuse it, ask us — we usually say yes.

5. Your submissions

When you send us a story, photos, or other material:

  • You keep ownership. Your story and your photos remain yours.
  • You give us permission to publish. Specifically, a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, edit for length and clarity (per our editorial policy), and promote your submission in connection with PupVoice — on the site, in the newsletter, and on our social channels.
  • You promise it’s true and it’s yours. You confirm the story is accurate, the photos are yours to share, and everyone identifiable in them is okay with appearing.
  • We choose what runs. We may decline or remove submissions. To request an update or removal, see our editorial policy and privacy policy.

6. Not professional advice

PupVoice publishes journalism and general information about dogs. It is not veterinary, medical, behavioral, legal, or any other kind of professional advice. Decisions about your dog’s health belong with your veterinarian. More detail is in our disclaimer.

7. Third-party links and ads

Our stories link to rescues, shelters, fundraisers, and other outside sites. Those sites aren’t ours, and we’re not responsible for what happens on them. Advertising on PupVoice is served by third-party partners as described in our advertising disclosure — an ad or a link is not our endorsement.

8. Accuracy and availability

We hold ourselves to a high standard of accuracy and fix mistakes visibly — that’s our editorial policy. Even so, the site is provided “as is” and “as available”: we can’t guarantee it will always be error-free, complete, or online.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PupVoice is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

If you believe something on PupVoice infringes your copyright, email hello@pupvoice.com with the subject “Copyright” and include: the work you own, the URL where it appears on our site, your contact details, and why you believe it infringes. We review complaints promptly and remove or correct content where a complaint is valid.

11. Changes

We may update the site and these terms over time. When the terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and significant changes will be flagged prominently. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which PupVoice operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

13. Contact us

Questions about these terms: email hello@pupvoice.com with the subject “Terms”, or use our contact page.
